AbstractThere is no comprehensive ordinance or statute that applies to POs in Hong Kong (Bethke, 2016, p.26). The major relevant laws include the Companies Ordinance, the Societies Ordinance, and the Registered Trustees Incorporation Ordinance. A PO can be formed as a society, a company limited by guarantee, a trust, or a statutory body established under a specific ordinance.
