AbstractThis panel comprises members of the English Across the Curriculum (EAC) Project from a university in Hong Kong where English, as a second language, is used as a medium of instruction. The members have collaborated with faculties from Information Engineering, Earth System Science, Music, and Statistics. Through sharing experiences of setting up communities of practice (CoP) projects, the presenters will discuss the similarities, differences, challenges and keys to success in implementing EAC in different faculty settings. The panel’s input will hopefully generate interesting discussion among colleagues who implement WAC in settings where English is the first language of the learners.
