AbstractThe surface-based partial element equivalent circuit (S-PEEC) model can convert the electromagnetic (EM) problem with arbitrary-shaped piece-wise homogeneous dielectrics into a physically-meaningful lumped circuit problem. Based on the S-PEEC model, formulations of the radiated and transferred power between radiators can be evaluated, which provides a clear physical interpretation to understand the radiation mechanism of radiators with complex structures. Therefore, this method can be applied to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)/electromagnetic interference (EMI) optimization. In this paper, a numerical example of the radiation characterization of a dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is given to validate this approach.
