AbstractWe propose to use non-orthogonal DFT-matrix precoding to mitigate the nonlinear distortion induced by chirp and fiber dispersion in a 10-Gb/s DML-based OFDM optical system, with 0.83-dB sensitivity improvement over the third-order Volterra nonlinear equalizer.
