AbstractTemporal reasoning of event changes occurring at imprecisely known time instants is an important issue in microprocessor system diagnosis. The techniques being used to capture the notion of time imprecision in event occurrence are found to be ineffective in some instances. Hence, the fuzzy time point model is proposed. By using the simplistic assumptions on the model, the deductive capability of the existing time-range models are enhanced. The implementation of this system showed promising results in fuzzy time point reasoning.
