AbstractThis chapter focuses on the use of Theraplay, an attachment-based play therapy approach and its use with school children who are diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The ethical considerations of touch in Theraplay are highlighted, followed by the description of different types of touch under the Theraplay model; and how each type of touch can address the developmental needs of children who have ADHD. This chapter presents a case study with a third grade child diagnosed with ADHD who attended Theraplay sessions.
