AbstractCartilage is one of the poor self-regenerating tissues in response to injury. Recent progress in regenerative medicine has shed light on cartilage regeneration. In this chapter, we first introduce the development of the most mature regenerative technology for cartilage repair: autologous chondrocyte implantation (ACI). We further introduce several representative fabrication methods for cartilage repair using cutting-edge techniques, including 3D bioprinting, electrospinning, and microfluidics. Through this book chapter, we aim to help readers to have a comprehensive understanding of the most recent progress in biofabrication for cartilage regeneration.
