AbstractThis article critiques the practice of corporate governance in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and, in particular, the level of protection that minority shareholders have in its six Member States. It argues for the advancement of the position of minority shareholders in GCC corporations so as to promote an attractive environment for foreign direct investment in the region.
