AbstractAlthough vaginal tamponade is usually sufficient for hemostasis, it is not useful if a pelvic hematoma occurs. Here, we report the unusual case of a large pelvic hema-toma necessitating laparotomy for hemostasis due to a tear of the arcus tendineus levator ani after insertion of a tension-free vaginal tape.
