Effects of UV light irradiation on electron spin resonance of C-60 thin films

摘要Thin films of C-60 were prepared thermal evaporation and then subjected to UV light irradiation in oxygen ambient. The evolution of the ESR signals with irradiation time shows four distinguished regions each characterized by an irradiation time dependence of the areal spin density Ns and the linewidth Delta H-PP. The evolution of the ESR spectra, their dependence on the UV light intensity during illumination, and the role of oxygen are discussed in conjunction with the results of Fourier transform infrared absorption experiments.
