Other information
AbstractTuberculosis is an uncommon cause of carpal tunnel syndrome. We report a patient with systemic lupus erythematosus who developed hand numbness. Ultrasonic, operative and microbiological findings supported the diagnosis of median nerve compression secondary to a tuberculous abscess. The symptoms resolved with surgical excision and antituberculous chemotherapy.
