AbstractThe purpose of the first half of this Inception Report is to outline the method, the study programme, and the organisation of the Research Team. As a separate chapter, preliminary findings from the initial review of the trend and discourse of healthy ageing in built environment are discussed, which inform the strategic planning of the consultancy service/research programme.
The Inception Report consists of the following:
a) Research Team’s understanding of the issues, discourses, and academic/practical interests of the initiative of healthy ageing in built environment, with a particular focus on residential developments;
b) The background and objectives of the consultancy service/research programme;
c) The approach and methodology to be adopted in the process of research and development of the residential design guide for healthy ageing in Hong Kong;
d) Research activities, key study tasks and potential research collaborations;
e) Study programme and the schedule of planned research deliverables (i.e. milestones, interim reports, drafts of guidelines);
f) Organisation chart of the Research Team;
g) Initial review of the trend and discourse of healthy ageing in built environment.
