摘要This study evaluated the psychometric properties of the Chinese version of the Multidimensional Social Competence Scale (MSCS-C). We assessed 402 typically developing (TD) adolescents (age 12-19, male 33%) attending Form 1 to 5 in a Hong Kong mainstream secondary school, as well as 88 high-functioning autistic adolescents (age 11-19, male 82%). The MSCS-C demonstrated favourable psychometric characteristics, with excellent internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.848–0.969), excellent discriminant validity (AUC = 0.78–0.90), and good test-retest reliability (intraclass correlations = 0.77–0.90). Exploratory factor analysis yielded a 5-dimensional factor solution that correlated rather well (r > 0.9) with the original subscales. Adolescents with ASD reported significantly higher Total Score and Subscale Scores compared to those without ASD. To maximise sensitivity (0.78) and specificity (0.88), a cutoff with a Total Score of 244 was recommended.
