AbstractIn this paper, a model order reduction method is proposed for the quasi-static surface PEEC (S-PEEC) model for electromagnetic problems with heterogeneous dielectrics of finite size. The proposed method absorbs the contribution of the subcircuit on dielectrics by the sub-circuit on conductors under quasi-static approximation. The resultant PEEC circuit without dielectrics sub-circuit can not only speed up the analysis of a large-scale high-speed circuit by one order of magnitude, but also is more physical sensible because no equivalent currents or charges on dielectrics that need to be concerned. A multi-layer interconnection problem is given to demonstrate the efficiency, accuracy, and simplicity of the method.
