AbstractA photonic analog-to-digital converter (ADC) using 10-channel wavelength-interleaved picosecond pulse source was demonstrated. Sub-harmonic pulse-gating and sequential self-seeding of the cavity modes of a directly modulated laser diode were used to produce source. The optical pulses propagated through a single mode fiber (SMF) and were dispersed. The wavelength-interleaved output was directed into an intensity modulator. The wavelengths were filtered and directed to photodetectors.
